​Free legal help programs offered by the Law Library and partner organizations​

Divorce and Family Law Help | WALK-IN | Mondays, 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Family law lawyers volunteer to answer ONLY brief divorce and family law questions for self-represented litigants with Kane County cases. Priority will be given to those who have been sent by a judge and need to immediately return to court.

Spanish interpreter available.

​​Aurora Public Library District, Santori Library | WALK-IN | 2nd Thursday monthly, 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

​Volunteer attorneys will be available in-person for 15-minute meetings to assist with legal coaching, document review, referrals to other services, eFiling court documents and legal questions. Aurora area residents only.

​Gail Borden Public Library | WALK-IN | 4th Thursday monthly, 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Volunteer attorneys will be available in-person for 15-minute meetings to assist with legal coaching, document review, referrals to other services, eFiling court documents and legal questions. Elgin area residents only.

Drivers' Priviliege Clinic | WALK-IN | 1st Wednesday monthly, 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Volunteer attorneys from the Kane County Bar Association​ will offer FREE legal advice to assist in getting driving privileges reinstated. You MUST have a copy of your Driving Record Abstract to receive help. Visit the Illinois Secretary of State​ to get a copy or go in person to a DMV. If you need an interpreter, you must bring someone with you who can interpret for you.​
